Welcome at Kunama ACD

We are Monique Sporck and Marcel from Geleen and we live together in Voerendaal in the south of Limburg. Here do we live (at the moment) with our 3 Australian Cattle Dogs and a crossing border collie with her son. Our first dog we had together was a crossing Fox-Terriër, who listened to the name: Nokia. At the end of 2000 we got this dog out of a Belgium animal shelter. Unfortunately we had to put this dog asleep in February 2008. More information can be read and seen under the heading `rainbow`. After we got this dog from the shelter, followed up soon a second dog: the crossing Border Collie "Kimba" from a market in Belgium. She was born on 18 march 2001. This dog has already booked several successes in obedience and agility. More information can be read and seen under the heading `other dogs`. When Kimba was covered by accident, on June 17, 2004 saw 5 pups the light of life. 4 of these pups found a good home. However, 1 dog we couldn´t put away as this dog from the first moment our hearts had stolen. This dog got named "Fellow" Also with this dog we are still working on his skills in obedience. More information can be read and seen under the heading 'other' dogs. About 2 years ago, after careful consideration we have our first Australian Cattle Dog. This bitch named Hot Chili's Ekala's Empire, did we receive from Martine Drauden from Luxembourg. Ekala is a little sweet, very smart but tough lady, who doens´t let others eat of the cheese of her bread. In other words, typical traits of a Cattle Dog. With her our love for this race really began and soon followed more of these wonderful dogs. The other Australian Cattle dogs are listed under the heading `ACD`. The name Kunama comes from the Aboriginal word and its meaning is "snow". Because the Australian Cattle Dog is born white it seemed us a nice and original name. We hope in the future to breed beautiful healthy puppies that meet the standard varieties.
